ರಾಮನಗರ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ
ರಾಮನಗರ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ 1995 ರಲ್ಲಿ ನಗರಸಭೆಯಾಯಿತು. ರಾಮನಗರವು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು-ಮೈಸೂರು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿ -17ರಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಿಂದ 50 ಕಿ.ಮೀ. ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ನಗರದ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯಾ 2001ರ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆಯಂತೆ 79,384, ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ 31-ವಾರ್ಡೆ ಗಳಿದ್ದು ಅಶ್ಟೇ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ಚುನಾಯಿತ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನಗರವು 14,531 ಚ.ಕಿ.ಮೀ. ವ್ಯಾಪಿಸಿದೆ.
ನಗರವು ರೇಶ್ಮೆ ಬೆಳೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 2000 ರೇಶ್ಮೆ ನೂಲು ತೆಗೆಯುವ ಘಟಗಳಿವೆ. ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ರೇಶ್ಮೆ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಯು ಏಶ್ಯಾದ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರುವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಶ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ನಗರವು ಬೆಟ್ಟ ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳಿಂದ ಸುತ್ತುವರಿದಿದ್ದು ನಗರದ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿದೆ.
A brief note on Ramanagaram City
In the year 1800-01the city was ruled by the British Offier "Sir Byari Close", hence Ramanagara was earlier called as CLOSEPET.It was renamedas RAMANAGARA by the former Chief Minister of Karnataka Sri Kengal Hanumanthaiah.
The Ramanagara city is situated at 622.80mtr above Sea level which receives an average of 931.58 mm rainfall annually.Ramanagaram City stretches to an area of 14.531 SqKms.It is situated along Bangalore - Mysore State Highway No.17 at a distance of 50 Kms from Bangalore.
City Municipal Council (CMC) Ramanagaram was constituted in 1995. It has a population of 79,384 according to the censes of 2001. The CMC has 31 Wards and equal number of Councilors. Ramanagaram City is the center for Sericulture Activities. There are about 2000 Silk Reeling and Twisting Households units. It has one of the biggest cocoon market in Asia. Ramanagaram is also famous for its Huge Rocks. The magnificent rocks that form the landscape of the Handi-gundi reserve forest in Ramanagaram are 2.6 billion years old.

ರಾಮನಗರ ನಗರಸಭೆಯು ಆಸ್ತಿ ತೆರಿಗೆ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಣೆಯನ್ನು ಗಣಕೀಕರಣ ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಇದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ 1995 ರಿಂದ ಈ ದಿನದವರೆಗೆ ಜನನ ಮತ್ತು ಮರಣ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಗಣಕೀಕೃತಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದು ನಾಗರೀಕರು ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ನಾಗರೀಕ ಸೇವಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲೆ ಜನನ-ಮರಣ ನೊಂದಾಣಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇವಾ ಶುಲ್ಕ ಪಾವತಿಸಿ ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಲು ಹರ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ.
COMPUTARIZATION
We are very happy to intimate the citizens of Ramanagara city that we have computerizes the collection of Property Tax , Birth and Death certificates from 1995 to till date under state Government nirmala nagar computerization scheme, from now on wards citizens are requested to visit the citizen service centre at the office for registration and getting of Birth and Death certificates by paying service fee. Citizens are requested to make use of this facility.
ನಗರಸಭೆಯ 19-ವಾರ್ಡ್ ಗಳ ಘನ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ವಸ್ತು ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯನ್ನು ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಣೆ, ಬೀದಿಗುಡಿಸುವುದು, ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಗಾಣಿಕೆ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಣೆಯ ಶುಲ್ಕವನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪದೆ ಪಾವತಿಸುವುದು. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟಂತೆ ಯಾವುದಾದರೂ ದೂರುಗಳಿದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ನಗರಸಭೆಯ ಸಹಾಯವಾಣಿ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ-7276070 ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸುವುದು. ನಗರವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಚ್ಚವಾಗಿಡಲು ಸಹಕರಿಸಿ. -ಆಯುಕ್ತರು, ನಗರಸಭೆ.
SWM-Given on contract
Solid Waste Management in 19 wards has been outsourced. It is of two package system comprising primary collection, street sweeping and transportation to landfill site.
